Ran on the cross country course at Lake Land College. It is a deceptively challenging course. It felt like you were running uphill the entire time. No big hills but some small rises and long uphills at every turn. It was also ridiculously hot and humid.

Ran a little bit watching Symphany at her first CC race and then 4 at home by myself. They did a 3 mile relay against their rival team from the nearest town. It was really just a joint practice doing mile repeats, but they can't really call it that.

It was another beautiful morning. The team ran in a new place behind the airport. It was a 2.5 mile loop on county roads. They were thinking it was 4 miles around, but I ran most of it while they were warming up and stretching and got less than 2 miles. I suggested they run the loop the opposite way doing a full loop plus their warmup. It mapped out to 3.15 miles with that addition. Altogether they ran 3.8 miles including their warmup. I ran around pointing people in the right direction and got 5 total. It felt good, and I was able to see a herd of 8 deer at one of the corners.

It was a nice cool, sunny morning with low humidity. I ran around the perimeter of Lake Land college on the road and parking lots while the high school runners did a short loop multiple times. I felt good.

Ran in the afternoon with my oldest because it was storming in the morning. Just did my elementary school loop for a quick 3. It was cloudy and really humid. It was the first time Symphany has run 3 miles straight. She did great.

Last week was a little crazy with appointments and travel. I was able to run 3 different days (Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday), but not as much. This week should be better. The high school also starts official practices this week. I ran in the morning at the same time as the high school at Lytle Park. I ran down to a housing addition, around it, out to the school, back around the housing addition, and back to the park. It was about a mile to the school and about a mile around the housing addition. There is a nice loop that goes around the perimeter, and I saw lots of people out walking and biking. Total time was 31:48.
